AAGE Conference 2016 Summary

aage-2016

AAGE has once again proved to be the go-to event for Graduate Employers wanting to source the latest information, programs, and expertise in order to enhance their graduate programs. The latest recruitment initiatives were on display at the conference, along with new approaches for development programs to improve the developmental journey of graduates.

The range of keynote addresses and the workshop panels and discussions provided maximum opportunity for graduate managers to engage with suppliers and to share their experiences. Fusion’s Graduate Development Manager, Jum Lamont, sat on the panel of ‘The Cutting Edge Development’ and was inspired by the insightful questions of graduate managers, reflecting the thought and planning being put into development programs and their desire to deliver the best to their graduates.

During the AAGE conference, Fusion launched a Research Study completed recently by Emma Gladwell, Graduate Programs Manager – ‘Examining trends in behavioural preferences of Australian graduates (2015-2016)’. Along with Fusion’s methodology on graduate profiling, Emma’s report generated much discussion with employers on how best to leverage the strengths and behavioural preferences of their graduates in order to get the most out of them in terms of motivation, productivity and retention. A full copy of the report is included in post-AAGE Conference edition of Fuse.

The Gala Dinner and Award presentation was a highlight of the conference, congratulations to all the winners and also to Ben and the AAGE team for organising another great event.
