At Fusion we are passionate about the recruitment and development of graduates – it’s what our business is built on.

We consider ourselves fortunate to work closely with graduates at such a pivotal point in their careers, and we’re therefore strongly committed to providing advice and support to graduates throughout the recruitment process.

In Australia, over 50% of the student population is estimated to be the first in their family to go to university, and a significant proportion of them consider departure throughout their university careers. Every year, we find ourselves inspired by stories of grads overcoming challenges to excel at university – and ultimately, achieve success in their chosen careers.

University can be a steep learning curve not only for students, but for their families too. The First in Family finalists are the students who are changing inter-generational norms and encouraging other family members to go on and complete a tertiary qualification. The Top100 Competition is all about celebrating them and their achievements, and we were delighted to sponsor this award.

Of the exceptionally talented finalists, Daniel Zanatta went on to win our Award. He performed exceptionally well throughout the entire Top100 Competition process and we are confident that any Graduate Program will benefit hugely from his professionalism, expertise and drive to succeed.

Growing up in the outer suburbs of Sydney and moving to Wollongong to complete his university degree, Daniel recognises how fortunate he is to have had the opportunity to attend university. He is motivated to inspire his younger sister and other family members to follow his lead and commence university degrees.

Daniel is currently completing his Bachelor of Engineering with Honours majoring in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting. He was also a finalist for the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Accounting and Financial Management Award. We would like to congratulate Daniel once again on wining the Fusion First in Family Award, and we sincerely wish you the all the best for your exciting future!
